SPECIAL MEAL
Give hope to our street friends with our special Christmas meal
About our Christmas dinner
January signals the beginning of a new year, and we want to give our street friends hope during the cold months. That's why we’re providing them with a warm place to sit and eat a hot turkey meal with all the trimmings. We want to give our friends hope that they'll survive the winter, even as the coldest nights approach.
This special meal also provides lots of time to connect and exchange stories with each other and with our volunteers, who love nothing more than being able to share the love of Jesus in word and action with those who attend. We also love to hear from our friends how thankful they are to God for the provision of warmth and good food.
Date & Time
On January 21, 2025, we will gather to share a Christmas dinner together. We are inviting our street friends for a sit-down turkey meal from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, helping them escape the cold winter weather.
The event will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church on 120 Lisgar Street.
Help make a difference
Your donation would mean a lot to our street friends. Your gift will help us cover the cost of food and other essential items needed to make our friends’ Christmas experience memorable. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
Volunteer with us
We are looking for volunteers in two key areas: preparation and set-up (9:00 am - 12:00 pm), and service and clean-up (12:00 pm - 3:00 pm).
To volunteer, please email Sarah, our Volunteer and Program Coordinator: sarah.pearce@ottawainnercityministries.ca. To help with the meal, please visit our Meal Train page: https://www.mealtrain.com/potlucks/wm0o11
